Valuing Diversity in Teaching and Learning
The 2011 Collaborative Faculty Development Conference is on May 2 and 3, 2011 at the Delta Centre Suite Hotel, Edmonton.
Call for Presentations
The Collaborative BScN program Collaborative Faculty Development Committee is seeking presentations focusing on:
- Teaching strategies that encourage students to value diversity.
- Approaches that support learning in an increasingly diverse student population.
- Curriculum issues related to valuing diversity.
Abstracts for oral presentations are to be 300 words and should outline the which goal (s) are addressed, the background, main content, conclusion and format of the presentation. Requests for audiovisual support should be included.
Presentations will be allocated 30 minutes minimum and up to 60 minutes if the presentation includes group work, (please indicate if you require group work.)
Please include the name(s) of the presenters and contact information and institution affiliation. The first presenter name will be notified of receipt and acceptance.
Abstracts must be typed, single-spaced and in MS word format. Please submit abstracts electronically and advise AV requirements to Maureen Super at maureen.super@ualberta.ca
Registration Information
The deadline to register for the conference is April 22, 2011. A registration form is available here.

Notification of acceptance: March 18, 2011
